Redirect your body's energy.
At Premier Health Chiropractic, we integrate this holistic system of healing into our line of services for the primary purpose of restoring the balance of the patient’s “Qi.”
What is Qi?
The basic principle of this treatment is that a person’s health is wholly dependent on the body’s life force known as Qi (pronounced as “chee”). The smooth and balanced flow of this life force through the body’s network of channels called meridians connects all of the organs. When the balance of Qi is disrupted, the person may feel a number of pains on the body in varying degrees.
What is stagnant Qi?
Traditional Chinese medicine regards proper blood and energy (Qi) circulation as the most vital factor in every person’s overall health. Poor circulation leads to the formation of pools of stagnation in cells that are not doing their jobs of feeding and cleansing the body. Thus, poor circulation is deemed as the primary reason for a number of ailments. If circulation is poor, the body’s organs are actually malnourished. Stagnant or blocked Qi is caused whenever there is a constriction or blocked accumulation.
Set an appointment with Premier Health Chiropractic
Here at Premier Health Chiropractic, patients who aren’t well-informed about this type of traditional Chinese medicine often ask us to explain in simpler terms how it works. This simple analogy explains it best:
Much like how cars cannot run without gasoline, our bodies cannot run without energy. The circulatory system transports oxygen and nutrients to our organs and tissues, and carries away toxins and waste products. It also transports the disease-fighting cells of the immune system that we need when we are sick or injured. In short, poor circulation results or equates to poor health.
Acupuncture seeks to restore the body’s Qi balance, enhancing circulation, and ultimately relieve various bodily pains, from headaches to lower back pain.
When you set an appointment with us at our clinic, we will first determine what type of injury or illness is manifesting your bodily pains. We will also discuss your regular eating habits and lifestyle with you. This allows us to fully comprehend the factors that are causing you to experience body pains, and allow us to develop a treatment plan that works best for you. One thing we also take note of is the patient’s stress levels, because stress is the number one factor in having a stagnant Qi.
